3 STEPS TO A New Year, New YOU.


 

Alright, we've heard it for as long we can remember going to New Year's Eve parties.

The New Year, New YOU cliche is However we here at FITSPI know this will be our best year to date and there are 3 REASONS for it!

1.) We set our intentions to EVERYDAY do something that we are not comfortable with. From trying a yoga class to trying a muscle-up or pushing our 5k time. The key to progress is getting COMFORTABLE being UNCOMFORTABLE.

 

2.) We BREAK down our GOALS into achievable daily GOALS. We tend to overestimate what we can do in 1 year and underestimate what we can achieve in 5 years. In this same light we can reverse this mindset by achieving small feats daily and when we finally look back at year's end... we are amazed at what have achieved. For example... let's say we are trying to bump our 5k time down from 25 minutes to 21 minutes. That may sound like a daunting task knowing the brutal chest pain we already experience. HOWEVER, if we slowly chip away 3 seconds per 5k.... how many minutes is that if we run 3x per week??? Well we would eventually experience diminished returns but that is 7.5 minutes... YOU GET THE POINT. 

3.) We get up EARLY and structure the FIRST PART of the day with task lists that we knock out. By tying together your intentions and goals and working EVERYDAY to better yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally through incessant learning, workouts and progressing --- our world transforms. Make it a point to wake up ONE HOUR EARLY, visualize your day, drink lots of water, move/workout for 30 minutes and stay focused (Instagram and Facebook away) while you work or study... AND see your fitness, work, and mindset grow exponentially
